I've been a theatre artist my entire adult life, in almost every capacity: actor (40+ year Equity member), director, playwright, stage manager and technical director. I've worked in everything from summer stock and dinner theatre to grand opera. No burlesque or circus — yet. I've also had a parallel career as a musician during that time, and while the Digital Revolution has given us spam, it has also made it practical for me to have a viable home studio and combine these two sets of skills and experience. This gives me a special insight into the potential of music and SFX to help realize the director's vision of a production.

PiperHQ Studio is the umbrella for Dick's musical and video projects. Dick's composition interests have turned again to songs. Here are a couple of art songs, performed by Nathan Marken (voice) and Brian Stone (guitar). "Minor Bird" is a setting of a poem by Robert Frost. "On Sack" is a speech by Sir John Falstaff in Shakespeare's Henry IV - II.
